Christmas School Holiday Fun at Thrower House

Christmas School Holiday Fun at Thrower House

It can be difficult to keep the kids occupied over the four week Christmas School Holidays, however, Thrower House is hosting a wide range of fun and free activities for young people aged between 12 and 17 years.

Located at Salk Oval, Palm Beach, Thrower House encourages youth to participate in outdoor activities, exercise and games with the school holiday program run by the Wesley Mission on behalf of the City of Gold Coast.

From art to dance classes to sports and even a mini Olympics, these free community-run and fully supervised programs aim to encourage young people off the couch or internet and into the fresh air to make new friends and to learn new things.

You’re sure to find something that will entertain your kids as other holiday program activities include cooking classes, Stand Up Paddleboarding, talent shows, slip n slides, softball and discos to name a few.

The City of Gold Coast and Thrower House are committed to fostering a sense of community and belonging among our younger people.

The first week’s activities run from 12 – 16 December 2016; the second week from 19 to 23 December 2016; week three runs from 9 to 12 January 2017; and week four starts on 16 January and concludes on 20 of January 2017.
