Christmas by the Sea – December 15, 2014

Christmas by the Sea – December 15, 2014

This year’s Christmas by the Sea promises to offer a fantastic time for everyone. Festivities start from 4pm on Monday December 15 at Palm Beach Parklands, 945 Gold Coast Highway.  Bring the whole family and don’t forget to pack a picnic blanket or your favourite deck chair.

In addition to Christmas carols, fireworks and stage performances, children will be in for a treat with face painting available together with a special farmyard animal enclosure filled with adorable farm animals eager for a pat.

Christmas by the Sea is brought to you by Community by the Sea, a committee made up of local business leaders, local council, police, youth workers and local Church. The committee was formed by people passionate about giving back to the community by offering events to both young and young-at-heart.

The committee will be fundraising for its elected charity and only asks for a gold coin donation for face painting and animal enclosure access.

You know the kids will be on their best behaviour because Santa will also be making a special appearance at Christmas by the Sea.  He’ll be chatting with children to find out who’s been naughty or nice before heading back to the North Pole with his elves to prepare for a very busy Christmas Eve.

At 5.30pm, the Currumbin Primary School Choir who have been practising all year will put on a special performance and the choir will be followed by the Currumbin Academy of Performing Arts. CAPA is group of talented local performers who are looking forward to engaging and entertaining everyone attending Christmas by the Sea.

Then, everyone is invited to join with the C3 Band for an evening of carols!

The night will finish with a spectacular fireworks display guaranteed to dazzle.  Visitors can also access food and drink from Dune Café plus a range of food stalls including a sausage sizzle, fun floss, snow cones and icy cold drinks.

So head to Palm Beach Parklands next Monday December 15 for an unforgettable afternoon and evening of yuletide festivities and join your fellow community members at Christmas by the Sea.
