Saturday 25 April, 2015 marks the 100 year centenary of the fateful day when many Australian and New Zealand soldiers lost their lives on the shores of Gallipoli. This day is recognised for its historical significance and also the part it played in shaping a new nation. This 100 year anniversary provides the opportunity for remembrance, reconciliation, community spirit and education.
‘The Collage 2015’ is a tribute to a nation’s eternal gratitude to those who have, in so many ways, served for our freedom. It has been created with images taken from over 535 cenotaphs across Australia and New Zealand, and is an initiative of the Currumbin RSL and the Veteran’s Support Centre.
This collage poster itself was pieced together by Creative Arts students from the Palm Beach Currumbin High School and is available for purchase through City Of Gold Coast Customer Service Centres for $19.95. The poster is A1 size (59.4cm x 84.1cm).
100% of profits made from the sale of this poster will be split between Solider On and not-for-profit groups and organisations.
