Tourist Park Makes Way for Major Palm Beach Development
Work has begun on a major residential Palm Beach development.
The 4.7ha site of the former Palm Beach Mobile & Tourist Park has been cleared to make way for the development on the western side of the Gold Coast Highway at 19th Ave.
Designed by BDA Architecture, the $136 million project will comprise of mixed dwellings across four distinct residential precincts, as well as public spaces, including parks, retail and coffee shops.
The redevelopment is a major coup for Palm Beach, and is exceptionally timely, as the suburb’s profile is lifted as a prime beachfront destination with modern amenities, a thriving small business community, an array of global dining options and plenty of tourism appeal.
It is expected the residential development, by Sunland Group, will provide a strong sense of community for the central Palm Beach strip, similar to Burleigh’s popular James Street precinct.
