Palm Beach’s Blink Finance was born just over 7 years ago by Dave Hooper and George Despotovic.
Both working in the personal finance sector and in jobs where they were only able to offer medium to high interest rates to their customers, they knew they could provide better service, better rates and overall a better experience for clients if they did things their own way.
Wanting to start a company where they could be in control of sourcing the best possible loan product for their customers, whilst providing them with personalised service, the pair left the comforts of their secure, familiar, full-time jobs and in 18 December 2011, officially launched Blink Finance.
Tell us a bit about Blink Finance.
We are a young and vibrant, privately owned business based in Palm Beach. Our smart, driven and passionate team specialise in vehicle, marine, equipment and asset finance for individuals and businesses. We are focused on the client first and foremost and are anything but your average finance company.
Blink Finance staff are trained and accredited to compare the various lending criteria of over 30 bank and non-bank lenders Australia wide, to get our clients the best finance deal possible. We guarantee it. How? We treat our clients as people, not a number. No two people are the same, therefore no two finance applications are the same. We take the time to learn about our clients, their circumstances and their purchase goals before advocating on their behalf to get them approved with a lender best suited to them.
We don’t sneak in hidden fees, we don’t give false hope and we don’t place clients with the lender that will pay us the most commission. If we believe our client deserves a better rate or more flexible terms than what is offered, we won’t stop negotiations until the best possible deal is reached.

Our approach to business is old school, with a new age twist – it’s the ‘Blink Difference’!
We provide good ol’ fashioned customer service (like calling when we say we will!) and support our services with custom built technology and systems, that enable a streamlined and transparent experience for all involved.

We love the community feel of Palm Beach along with the energy and excitement it has as a booming suburb. Palm Beach is the perfect representation of what it should be like to live and work on the Gold Coast. Many Palm Beach residents have the luxury of living and working in Palm Beach and wouldn’t change it for anything in the world!
We wanted a piece of this too and moved Blink Finance from Township Drive in West Burleigh to Palm Beach to capture some of the energy and excitement Palm Beach has to offer and allow our staff and business to become part of the thriving community.
All while being able to eat great food and drink some of the best coffee the Gold Coast has to offer!
